Empty House? Need to Stage It? Can't Rent Furniture?
Not a Problem!
Have you ever said to yourself, "What will they think of next?" Well, this one may surprise you. But thanks to the invention of technology, all things are virtually possible - well almost.
This message is to anyone who owns a home they want to sell. It's to real estate agents who don't offer staging services. It's to professional home stagers who don't want to mess with renting or warehousing furniture for their clients. Now you don't have to
and you can still get the job done.
Some ingenious people have come up with a way to stage one or more rooms in a vacant property and do it all virtually. Using the furniture and accessories manufactured by a national furniture store, they will, for a moderate fee, stage any room in the
home virtually. They work from your photos of the room and send you back a photo showing furniture and accessories especially selected and displayed in the room. There's no need to rent anything. There's no need to buy anything.
You just pay the fee, upload the photos and wait for the staged photos to be
completed. Easy. Of course, you must let potential buyers know that the property
has been staged virtually. Since buyers need this assistance to visual how a
property COULD look, it is helpful to them and everyone else too.
Professional home stagers can utilize this tool to shortcut having to rent
furniture or for those clients who don't wish to pay for rental furniture. Since
selling a home furnished (or just looking furnished) is so much better than
selling it empty, a virtually staged home is growing in popularity and is a
viable alternative to actually bringing in furniture and accessories and placing
them in the home.
Anyone can register for an account for free and use their services. While this may deplete a certain segment of the population as clients for home stagers, it will open up more possibilities at the same time, particularly for new stagers who aren't yet
established with procedures to rent furniture for clients. It certainly negates the need for warehousing furniture.
Stagers can take the appropriate pictures of the empty house, upload them to the
website, get the virtual staging pictures back and deliver them to the owner or
agent for an up-charge over their costs. It beats losing the project
altogether because the seller doesn't want to spend for real staging or because
they just don't have the budget for it.
Of course, not everyone will want their home shown with "virtual furniture", but it does meet a need in the marketplace.
